Chicago : The Windy City
I've travelled to Chicago thrice in the last few years. It is a city with a character and history deeply rooted in the American Civil Rights Movement. Chicago is a hidden gem on the coast of Lake Michigan. It is a segregated city with the majority of the black population living in the South Side, while Downtown Chicago is filled with the glitz and glamour of the wealthy. Downtown Chicago is uniquely designed with multiple bridges connecting it to the other parts of the city. On arrival at Midway International Airport, I took the train downtown. Trains in the USA are mainly cold steel boggies that rattle down the tracks back and forth, carrying the working class to and from the city. The orange line in particular had a lot of daily commuters, one of whom started playing his boom box on the train.
